My took my sweater out of storage and it has a weird and bad odor, how do i get rid of it?

It seems that the other clothes that i had in storage also have the odor to some extent, how can i get rid of it? i had it in storage for about id say 5 months.

fabreeze it then leave it outside to let it ‘air out’
