Solid Fuel Boiler Heat Exchanger
First view of the super efficient heat exchanger test set up. In the video you will see the test run using a small amount of cardboard as fuel. It took 12 minutes from startup to boil 20 litres cold tap water in the second heat exchanger. Both units hold approximately 20litres of water. The system is now being plumbed into a heating system and will be used to test the output through radiators and an indirect immersion cylinder. As the output of the stove cannot be controlled a seperate water circuit will be fitted to dump excess heat into underfloor hot water storage units which will basically consist of long rolls of plastic pipe coiled under the floors…
